Description
The LWOA is a wireless container scale made of four support points and a wireless handheld. Each support point consists of an LKLA compression load cell in the LMLAV mounting kit with a fitted EFMC wireless transmitter, and the reading is taken on the EFMD wireless handheld. The scale weighs where the load stands, with no cable between support points and display and no mains power.
One support point goes under each corner of a container, vessel or frame. The transmitters send the readings licence-free at 2.4 GHz with AES 128 encryption up to 800 m in open field to the handheld. It shows the total weight of the four support points and the single values with tare, min. and max., so the load distribution becomes visible as well. The scale is available with total capacities from 1 t to 50 t, which corresponds to 250 kg to 12.5 t per support point. The load on one support point must not exceed the capacity of its load cell, so uneven load distribution has to be considered when choosing the capacity.
The load cells made of 17-4PH stainless steel have protection class IP68, a sensitivity of 2.0 mV/V, a combined error of ≤ ±0.03 % F.S. (C2) and a safe overload of 150 % F.S. The mounting kits made of AISI 304 stainless steel, with 175 × 150 mm plates and 95 mm overall height, guide transverse forces via lamellae and have a lift-off protection with a self-locking nut. Transmitters and handheld run on 2 × AA each and have protection class IP67, the handheld lasts up to 35 h in continuous operation. Everything is supplied in a carry case measuring 60 × 40 × 28 cm: 4 × LKLA, 4 × LMLAV, 4 × EFMC fitted and connected to the load cell, 1 × EFMD. The load cells are factory calibrated, on request the scale is calibrated according to ISO 17025.
