Miniature load cells and force transducers are ideal for weighing and force measurement applications with limited space and are available in various models with a wide range of rated loads. Miniature load cells and miniature force transducers from 1 N to 100 kN

When the installation space is only a few millimeters, or the force is in the range of a few newtons, "standard" designs quickly reach their limits. Our miniature transducers are built for exactly these challenges: from 1 N rated force, made of 17-4PH stainless steel, hermetically sealed and still fit for dynamic loads – for laboratory setups, test rigs, assembly and dosing systems, OEM installations and handling technology.

Force transducer or load cell: the same component, two jobs

If you want to measure a force, you select by rated force in N or kN, by tension, compression or alternating load, and by accuracy class. If you want to weigh, you select by weighing range in kg. As with all our transducers, the component is the same for the miniature designs too. That is why both applications are listed together here – and why the items are called miniature force transducer, miniature load button or miniature load cell depending on the application.

Signal, protection rating and calibration

The cells work with strain gauges and output an mV/V signal. With miniature designs it is particularly worth looking at the signal processing, because the signal is small: with the miniature strain gauge amplifier EPC or one of our weight transmitters it becomes 4…20 mA, 0…10 V or IO-Link; the AMP versions already include the amplifier. Housing made of 17-4PH / 1.4542 stainless steel, protection rating IP66 or IP67. A data sheet and 3D data are available for download with every item, and on request we calibrate to ISO 17025 in our own laboratory.
