Description
The MDAC is a rotating torque transducer with built-in amplifier and USB output. It is particularly suitable for rotating machines and drives, for test benches and for automatic tightening systems – static and dynamic.
The transducer is available with nominal torques from 5 N·m to 5000 N·m and measures clockwise torque as positive and anticlockwise torque as negative, up to 4000 rpm. Linearity and hysteresis are ≤ ±0.20 %, the internal resolution is 24 bit at a reading rate of up to 4800 /s. Supply (5 V DC) and readings run via USB 2.0; as an option, an integrated encoder with 3520 divisions per rotation measures the angle (resolution 0.1°) and the speed. The MDAC is fitted via a cylindrical shaft with keyway and two flexible couplings, on request with square coupling, and connected via an M12 connector.
The measuring body is made of stainless steel, the housing of aluminium; the protection class is IP40 and the operating range is −10 to +70 °C. The PC software (peak, first peak, data logger, export to ASCII and Excel) and a USB cable are included. The MDAC complies with CE, RoHS and REACH; a calibration report and an accredited calibration certificate according to ISO 17025 are available on request.
