Description
The LTMA is a load cell that hooks into the chain: the link hangs on standard shackles in the load path, the handheld display unit stays in the operator's hand, and there is no cable between them. The hook-in wireless load link was developed for measuring cable forces and for under-the-hook crane and lifting weighing. It is accurate in spite of compact dimensions and low weight, and its robust build makes it usable in rough surroundings.
There are 11 rated loads from 1 t to 500 t. The safe overload is 150 %, the breaking load 400 % of the rated load. The combined error is < ± 0.05 % of range, the temperature effects are < ± 0.003 % (span) and < ± 0.005 % (zero) of range per °C; linearisation is done in 10 steps. The compensated range is −10 … +40 °C, the operating range −20 … +60 °C.
The readings are sent by radio (2.4 GHz) up to max. 120 m to the handheld display unit with 8-digit display, two-key operation, tare function, auto power-off and remote on/off. Up to 255 links can be used at the same time. The link runs on 2 × lithium 1/2 AA (3.7 VDC), the handheld unit on 2 × lithium AA (1.5 VDC); battery life is max. 200 h.
The material is anodised aluminium (type 2014T6), the protection rating IP67; the handheld unit is waterproof to IP65 / NEMA 4. The weight ranges from 1.5 kg (1 t) to 90 kg (250 t); the 500 t size is available on request only. A calibration certificate to ISO/IEC 17025 is available on request.
