Description
The LPMB is a wireless load shackle for rigging points: it monitors and logs precise loads on the rigging point and sends the readings by radio (2.4 GHz) up to 800 m to a choice of receivers. It is built to withstand challenging environments and weather conditions – to safely distribute weight for indeterminate loads, roof structures and mother-grids, and to indicate alarms against rigging component overload.
The rated load (safe working load, SWL) is 4750 kg with a 5:1 safety factor. Factory calibrated, the accuracy with the original bobbin is typically ±1 % of load or ±25 kg, whichever is greater, and ±2 % or ±35 kg with a non-original bobbin. Units kg, lbs, tonnes, ton, ton (US) or kN; zero trim on the shackle.
The surface treated bow follows BS EN 13889, the load pin is aerospace grade stainless steel; a load centralising bobbin and an anti-rotational bracket are included. The rigging profile is less than 70 mm, the dimensions are 130 × 125 × 62 mm, the protection rating is IP67. It operates at −20 … +55 °C on 2 × AA lithium batteries (Energizer L91): about 3.5 months in continuous operation, about 2.8 years at 2 hours per day.
