Bending beam load cells up to 1.5 t rated load

In bending beam load cells the spring element is clamped at one end and loaded at its free end; the strain at the bending zone is measured. At small rated loads this principle delivers more signal per newton or kg than a shear beam load cell, which is why our range of bending beam load cells already starts at 5 kg and goes up to rated loads of 1.5 t.

When to choose bending beam, when shear beam load cells?

Below roughly 500 kg the bending beam load cell is usually the more accurate and more economical choice. As the load increases, or when the point of load application is not exactly fixed, shear beam load cells are worth considering because they are less sensitive to side forces and to deviations in the load introduction point.
