Description
The EFMC is a wireless radio transmitter for strain gauge bridges such as load cells and force transducers. It lets you build wireless, multipoint data acquisition systems for industrial sensor applications. The force and strain transmitter module sits in a medium-sized, weatherproof enclosure with a battery holder for two AA batteries.
Technically the radio modules are transmitters and receivers at the same time, but they are mostly used in one of the two roles. The transmitters send their readings at a freely adjustable rate; the receivers evaluate them, display them or trigger other actions. A PC and a base station are needed only for configuration, but can be part of a data acquisition system. Once configured, the modules work on their own; only sleep and wake-up are still controlled. The EFMC is compatible with existing T24 systems.
Two free programs are available for Windows PCs: one for configuring and calibrating the radio system and one for logging and visualizing the readings.
