Configuration for your inquiry

Your details are sent to us with your inquiry. All versions are made to order — you will receive a quotation.

IO-Link is the only option.

Class C on request; for thermocouples this position shows X.

Intermediate values in 5 mm steps — please enter them in the field next to it; 1000 mm is encoded as A00.

The source names ten digits (0 … 9) at this position but gives only nine plain-text entries; the tenth option is not assigned.

Plastic (PBT GF30) is standard, metal (stainless steel 1.4571) at extra cost.

M12×1, 4-pin is the only option; no other connector type is provided for this version.

For custom, please state the required measuring range.

If yes, please describe what should differ.

Description

The TEMH is a compact temperature sensor with an IO-Link interface, manufacturer type Müller MKTS-IO.

It measures where the temperature is taken directly in the medium – in pipelines, tanks, hydraulic and cooling circuits. The sensor tube Ø 6 mm and housing are made of stainless steel 1.4571, the electronics are potted (IP 65 / IP 68), and the system pressure is max. 25 bar. The insertion length ranges from 50 to 1000 mm, and the mounting position is arbitrary.

The benefit lies in its digital integration: the measured value is sent via IO-Link to the master, where the sensor is also parameterized – without a configuration device and without analog wiring; the settable values are described in the device file IODD MKTS. As the only one in the series, it also accommodates type J, K, and N thermocouples, thereby covering measurement points with existing thermocouple wiring. Electrically, there is exactly one connection, M12x1 four-pin.

The input contains a Pt100 in a 3-wire circuit in classes A, B, and AA, class C on request, or alternatively a thermocouple. The nominal range for all elements is from -50 … +200 °C. The source states the accuracy as max. 0.02 % of the range plus sensor error at 16 bit and 20 ms response time; the sensor is powered with 24 VDC with reverse polarity protection.

Please note before ordering: The ambient temperature is not the medium temperature – the medium may be up to +200 °C, but the electronics in the head only tolerate -20 … +80 °C; the source does not state what neck length or insulation is required for this. The accuracy specification contradicts the sister sheets: here, 0.02 % of the range is stated for 16-bit resolution, while the 24-bit versions only guarantee 0.1 % – the better value is on the coarser converter, which needs to be confirmed with the manufacturer before design. Filters and response time also do not match: 25 s filter at 20 ms response time, without explanation in the source. The product identification is not unambiguously documented: the order key has a placeholder in the second position, the product overview lists MX – please specify the type designation in plain text. A CE mark is not documented, and a declaration of conformity is not available; regarding the IO-Link interface, the source names the specification but no version number or test certificate. Explosion protection is not documented.

Advantages at a glance

  • IO-Link interface with signal level 0/24 V, parameterization via the master
  • As the only one in the series, also type J, K, and N thermocouples
  • Pt100 3-wire in classes A, B, and AA
  • Nominal range -50 to +200 °C for each element
  • A single M12x1 four-pin connection, no variety of connectors
