Description
Where no load cell fits, the structure itself becomes the sensor: the DSGA is a stainless steel bolt-on strain transducer that is screwed onto the machine with four bolts and measures the strain of the part it sits on. It is suited to large equipment such as presses, frames, columns and cranes, and to every place where a load cell cannot be fitted into the force path.
The DSGA is available for rated strains of 200, 500, 1000 and 1500 µε. The full bridge provides a rated output of 1.0 mV/V ± 15 %, the combined error is at most ±1.41 % of RO, and non-linearity, hysteresis and repeatability are ±1 % of RO each. The temperature effect on zero and on output is ±0.5 % of RO per 10 °C each. The excitation voltage is 5 to 10 V DC. The stainless steel body measures 89 × 25.4 mm and is 6.4 mm thick, 14 mm at 1500 µε.
It is fastened through four through holes of Ø 6.6 mm with a hole spacing of 76.2 mm lengthwise and 14.3 mm across; nothing in the force path has to be opened for mounting or replacement. The transducer is protected to IP65, has a fixed 6 m cable and, being passive, works with any strain gauge amplifier. Factory calibration is included; a high-temperature version for −40 … +250 °C and ISO 17025 calibration are available on request. The DSGA is CE and RoHS compliant.
