LRAA ring force transducer for compressive forces, IP67

The LRAA is a ring force transducer made of stainless steel for compressive forces; it does not take tensile forces.

It is intended for test benches and materials testing machines in which the force is applied through the central through hole.

The capacity range covers 10 kN, 25 kN, 50 kN, 100 kN, 250 kN, 500 kN, 750 kN and 1,000 kN in three sizes: Ø 140 mm for 10 kN to 100 kN, Ø 165 mm for 250 kN and 500 kN and Ø 200 mm for 750 kN and 1,000 kN. Linearity is ±0.10 % FS for the capacities 10 kN to 100 kN and ±0.20 % FS for 250 kN to 1,000 kN; the displacement at nominal load is about 0.17 mm, 0.20 mm and 0.25 mm respectively.

The nominal sensitivity is 2 mV/V with a tolerance of ±0.1 %, the input resistance 800 ± 20 Ω, the output resistance 705 ± 2 Ω and the insulation resistance > 5 GΩ. The recommended excitation is 10 V, the nominal range 1 to 15 V with a maximum of 18 V. The ring is completely laser welded and protected to IP67. It takes dynamic loads up to 75 % and transverse loads up to 100 % of the nominal load; the permissible service load is 120 %, the limit load 150 % and the breaking load > 300 %. The nominal temperature range is -10 °C to +40 °C, the operating temperature range -10 °C to +70 °C. It is connected via a shielded PVC cable, 5 m long and 5.3 mm in diameter, or optionally via an M12 connector. The contact surfaces must have a hardness of at least 40 HRC and a roughness of Ra ≤ 1.6. Calibration in kg is available on request.
